REALSWITCH Free app · coming soon to iPhone and Android

Shift from automatic mode to adaptive mode.

Under stress, the brain reacts on autopilot. REALSWITCH teaches you to notice it in a few seconds, several times a day, and to take back control.

Why

You cannot change a reaction you do not notice.

Automatic mode

Under pressure, the brain repeats what it knows: we tense up, we defend ourselves, we ruminate. It happens fast, and we only realise afterwards.

Adaptive mode

The prefrontal brain observes, steps back and looks for a new response. That is the one we want back in charge.

The shift

It can be learned. You only need to observe yourself often, a few seconds each time. After a few weeks, the brain does it on its own.

The anti-stress kit, free

The M.A.P.: three questions, a few seconds.

Several times a day, the app reminds you to observe yourself. Nothing to write, no score, no judgement: you look at what is there, and you carry on.

  1. What am I thinking?

Is my thought helping me, or am I defending myself?

  2. What emotion am I in?

Anger, fear, frustration, calm, joy… I name it, without judging it.

  3. How does my body feel?

A quick scan: jaw, neck, shoulders, belly, breathing.

If you are tense: sensory breathing

One minute to feel the cool air coming in and the warm air going out, then both at once. Observing two things at the same time makes the automatic brain let go.

Or your mantra phrase

A sentence you have chosen, which brings you back to a calm, confident state. You find it in the app when you need it.

A rhythm that fits your days

A reminder every 20 minutes by default, adjustable. Busy? You restart without doing the M.A.P., or you pause until the time you choose.

See stress go down

After 21 days, a first milestone: you see how often you were tense, and how it changes week after week.

The app and the R.E.A.L. Profile

The profile measures. The app trains.

The R.E.A.L. Profile shows where you stand on 24 adaptivity skills. In the app, it becomes a programme: one exercise a day on your six lowest skills, to practise in your real situations.
